The City of Inver Grove Heights desires economic development to provide jobs, increase tax base, and offer goods and service to its citizens.

Economic development activities are directed by the Economic Development Authority (EDA). Marketing and other economic development services are provided through Progress Plus, a public-private non-profit organization.
The City Council is the Economic Development Authority in Inver Grove Heights. They meet quarterly (February, May, August and November) on the 2nd Monday of the month at 5:00 pm in the Council Chambers at the Inver Grove Heights City Hall, 8150 Barbara Avenue. Full schedule
