Weather Impacts to city-led programs and events

IGHs Weather Hot Line (651-450-2595) is the only place to check the status for city-led program and events due to inclement weather. We strive to update by 4:30 p.m. After hours, it is up to the coaches and instructors to make the final decision.

Learn to Skate Open House and Winter Exhibition | Tuesday, January 7 | 5:30–6:30 p.m. | FREE!

Come to the rink and try skating! Great opportunity to meet the instructors and get your questions answered. At 5:45 p.m. watch the current participants as they perform their competition programs!

It’s time for Family Fun Nights at the VMCC! Bring the whole family and join us on the second Friday night of the month...shoot hoops or play games in our gym from 5-7 p.m. or splash around in our pools from 5:30-8:30 p.m. You’ll also be able to try log rolling!

All Can Play — Inclusive Playground Fundraising Effort | Wednesday, Jan. 22

We are excited to support the efforts of a community group led by IGH residents to raise funds which will contribute to an inclusive playground at the new Heritage Village Park. Children and adults of all abilities will be able to play and enjoy this park! Please consider donating to make this fantastic addition to the community a reality!

Black Light Dodgeball Night | Friday, Jan. 31 | 6:30–9 P.M. | Ages 12 & up | $10/person 

Join us for a great night of black light-fueled fun! Wear white or neon to glow! 

Teams will be organized the night of the event. Two sessions: teen & adult; 6–10 players/team

Snacks will be served. We hope to see you there!

Princess's Dance | Friday, Feb. 7 | 6-8 p.m. | Ages 4-12 (w/adult)

An enchanted evening awaits princesses and their special guest. Join us for an evening of music, dinner, dancing, photo booth, refreshments and special activities. Don’t miss this great opportunity to connect with your young princess and make lasting memories. Opportunity to get your hair done by Salon Fusion (details will be emailed one week prior to event).

Kids Sports Night | Friday, March 13 | 6:30-8 p.m. | Ages 4-12 (w/adult)

This special night is sure to engage and excite the little athlete in your life. The theme is “All Sports” and everyone is encouraged to dress to show support for their favorite team, player or sport. Enjoy an evening of dancing, pizza, refreshments, friendly sport skill challenges to win prizes!

Pikachu & His Pokémon Pals | Saturday, February 1 | 9:30-11:30 a.m. | Ages 4–9 | $30

Is your child crazy for Pokémon? Do they love trading Pokémon cards? Then we have the perfect class for them! We’ll use clay, sparkly paint, and Model Magic to create everyone’s favorite Pokémon, Pikachu!

Unicorn Slime | Saturday, February 15 | 9:30–11:30 a.m. | Ages 4-9 | $30

Come explore the magical, mystical unicorn universe with us! We’ll learn the secret recipe for fabulous, glittery unicorn slime and take it home in a unicorn jar so sparkly that it’s guaranteed to dazzle! If you love unicorns, you will LOVE this class.

Summer Registration Kick-Off Saturday, March 7 | All Day

We’re kicking off summer in a big way! Register ONLINE for Summer YOUTH PROGRAMS and you’ll be entered into a drawing to WIN ONE OF TWO $50 GIFT CARDS to be used towards Parks and Recreation programs.

Kids R.O.C.K. OPEN HOUSE | Wednesday, March 11

This is our summer camp program for kids ages 5-12 that runs June 8-Aug. 21, 2020. Come visit the facility, get your questions answered and enroll!

2020 Spring Egg Hunts

Three different ways to gather eggs and have fun celebrating Spring! All hunts are held rain or shine! And require pre-registration.

Traditional Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 4 | FREE!

Ages 3–10; accompanied by an adult

Hop on over to Rich Valley Athletic Complex and join us for some egg-citing fun. Kids will enjoy scrambling all over to collect their eggs. Some “special prize” eggs will be available for some lucky participants. This hunt will be held rain or shine so dress appropriately. Register early, as space is limited.

Aqua Egg Hunt: Sunday, April 5 | Fee: $5

Swim and dive for eggs at the VMCC and then trade them in at the end of your hunt for an awesome goodie bag! We will have two waves of hunts. Limited to 50 swimmers per wave.
